There are two types of RAID

Hardware RAID (via SCSI Controller, built in, etc).
Software RAID

When using Software RAID, you must select it during the installation. F2
(LILO) is recommend most, and my new CD will be removing GRUB RAID due to
rebuild problems. Long story short, you need to manually copy the MBR if
you replace a failed drive.

If your using Hardware RAID, that is controlled outside of CentOS Linux.
The BIOS only reports a single hard drive to the OS. So, you should only
install "Single".

So, if your system doesn't show RAID, which it doesn't, chances are you
select Single Hard drive install.

Hope that clears it up some!
