Why? Vmware ESX 3.0 supports the LSI Logic, which has a driver already 
included in Centos. Other Centos 4.3 installations work fine. This is 
specific to the 4.3 BlueQuartz ISO, as the 4.2 ISO works fine w/ the LSI 
Logic driver.

Vmware ESX doesn't support IDE drives. Workstation and GSX do. Not sure if 
the new Vmware Server does..

But in my case, I'm running Quad Dual-Core Opteron boxes w/ 16 Gigs of 
memory using the Vmware ESX. It would be nice to consolidate all of our 
Colbalt Raq units onto the Vmware Infrastructure.
