Hmmm, ran yum updates on the same production server I had problems on the
other day, everything appeared to be ok (mail coming in, could see people
checking mail), but just got a call that no one was getting any mail.

A check on the server shows mail being delivered to ~mail/inbox, but dovecot
is not checking that file now for some reason (has been working fine since
original episode). Commented out the "default_mail_env" line in
dovecot.conf; turned on debug; and it is now "finding" the mailbox buy is
going through several checks to get there (checks /var/spool/mail, /var/mail,
~home (for that user), then ~mail to finally find the inbox. It works, but
any ideas why the change in behavior again this morning ???
