All of a sudden, one of my servers seems to be having problems with people
sending mail through the server. Inbound mail is fine, just outgoing is a
problem. This does not appear to be a pop-before-smtp problem as I've run
tests to make sure.

The error message in the maillog is:

reject=550 5.7.1 <emailadress>... Relaying denied

Nothing more than that. I did check to verify that nslookup was working on
the server, and it is without problem.

Nothing has changed on the server, so I'm stumped. In one case, I was able
to solve the problem for one customer by listing his static IP address as an
acceptable relay source. So the problem does appear to be related to
security. But like I said, nothing has changed.

Just to be sure, I did try to restart poprelayd, but that didn't seem to
solve it.

Any suggestions?
